On June 3, 2019 by Mooncharmed

This year, on the third day of the 8th Storytelling Festival of Athens – 19 May 2019 – who just turned 10 years old, among the participation of other storytellers and musicians, my musician Harry Kalimanis and I, told musically and verbally “The Bagel’s Hole: A Story for the Wise Crazy”

A few words about the story, which was taken from Ben Zimet’s book, “Stories and Tales from the Land of Yiddish” with Anna Peristeri’s greek translation, Polis publications:

There is a town, where, according to jewish tradition of the West, the most strangest people lived. The town of Chelm. This is where this story comes from, a story which talks about bagels, human nature, mathematics, and humour.

We thank the Centre for the Study and Dissemination of Myths and Folktales for hosting wonderfully our performance and for the beautiful experience they gave us.
