one red feather at Christmas
On December 25, 2018 by MooncharmedIn the start of our journey in the world of storytelling, the graduands of Storytelling School of Athens (years of studies: 2016-2018), we started to collaborate telling stories in groups under the name «ena kokkino ftero» (one red feather)
Our performances happen as volunteering work (without the slightest financial reward) and doing those we aim to collaborate with each other and to gain experience in storytelling. Some of us have already done (or plan to do) their own storytelling performances, like myself, but not all members of our group aim to be professional storytellers. Our group’s logo was made by our colleague Vassiliki Pergamali and we heartly thank her.
Here you can see photos from the Christmas storytelling performance «Kalikatzaria kai paidia, kamomata kai gelia» (Goblins and children, doings and laughter) that colleagues Alkibiades Kousis, Dimareta Megge and I did in schools of the municipality of Pallini, in Athens, around Christmas of 2018. The posters for the performances at the 2nd Elementary of Glyka Nera and the 7th Kindergarten of Pallini were made by Alkibiades Kousis.

A few words about me:
My name is Vaia Katsavou. I am a kindergarten teacher, graduate of Faculty of Early Childhood Education of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I have graduated from Athens’ Storytelling School of MYTHOS Centre for the Study and Dissemination of Myths and Folktales and from Imera Theatre’s 3-year workshop “Lakis Kouretzis”, studying Theater Play Method of interactive and experiential learning using tools and concepts of theater. But my favourite… is that I am a published author.
