Odysseus at the land of the Lotus-eaters
On March 28, 2019 by MooncharmedOn Sunday 3rd of March 2019, at 11:00 am, at the “Folktales House – The Museum Otherwise” I had another storytelling performance for children of 2.5 to 4 years-old. It was a free rendition of Odysseus’ story and his journey to the land of the Lotus-eaters, from Greek Mythology, adapted for very small children.
Thanks to the magic of children and fairytales, that we call Fantasy, they journeyed through time and space, met Odysseus, his combrades and the strange land of the Lotus-eaters.
Using the theater play craft, the children, with their brains and their hearts, confronted challenges, overcame difficulties and helped the heroes of the story to live their dreams. Playing, they boosted their confidence and their autonomy, learning different sides of Greek Mythology. After the performance they created their own ship, which will always travel them through their imagination.
